The Shaykh : She becomes lawful to her husband. If she becomes pure before the forty days, it is obligatory for her to perform the full ritual bath and pray, and it is permissible for her husband to have intercourse with her, even before the forty days, as long as she is pure. This is because if prayer becomes lawful, and it is greater than the husband’s enjoyment of her, then the husband’s enjoyment is all the more permissible.
