The children went to the Eid prayer

The first question of Fatwa No. ( 9291 )
Q1: In our country, there is a custom specific to children, where on the day of Eid they go to the Eid prayer ground, but they do not pray; instead, they sit near the mosque and raise their voices in joy for the Eid, disturbing the worshippers so that they cannot hear the sermon. They continue doing this until the worshippers leave the prayer, and then they return with them. We have warned them about this, but to no avail. We ask your Eminence to answer regarding this custom, which the children have followed from generation to generation, with clarification.
A1: Children should not be prevented from attending the Eid prayer ground, if
they are seven years old or older, based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):Sunan ad-Daraqutni 3:5 , but they should be advised and guided to the etiquettes of Islam, and to respect the rights of the prayer and the worshippers, and to listen to the sermons and admonitions, and not to raise their voices for fear of disturbing the preacher and those listening to his sermon. Their fathers and guardians should be directed to do so, so that they discipline them and restrain them, but they must maintain a middle course with them in this matter, neither suppressing them nor leaving them to run wild, making a nuisance and disturbing the worshippers. May Allah be our helper. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
