Ruling on a woman who miscarried

Machine translationRead the Arabic original

Fatwa number (1795) Q: A woman miscarried in the third month of her pregnancy at the beginning of Ramadan, and she broke her fast for five days after the miscarriage due to the presence of blood from the apparent effect of the miscarriage, and the blood continued with her in the same vagina, which was not coming out of it,
and she continued fasting and praying
for twenty-five days. Is the fasting and prayer valid while she is in this state? Knowing that she performs a complete ablution for every prayer, and she has remained in this state until now, where she finds blood and moisture in the vagina, and she recalls that she was using birth control pills and menstruating before she became pregnant?

A: Praise be to Allah alone, and blessings and peace be upon His Messenger, his family, and his Companions.. After that: If the situation is as you described, regarding her miscarriage in the third month of her pregnancy, then the blood is not considered post-natal bleeding; because what came out of her from the pregnancy is only a clot in which no human creation is discernible. Accordingly, her fasting is valid and her prayer is valid while she sees blood in the vagina, as long as she performs ablution for every prayer as mentioned in the question. She must make up the fasting and prayer she missed during the five days she broke her fast and did not pray in, knowing that this blood is considered irregular non-menstrual bleeding. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
