Q13: If water is found in the desert but it is not sufficient to perform wudu' from it, is it permissible to use the earth for tayammum or not?
A13: Praise be to Allah alone, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger
and his family and his Companions... After that: One should use the available water for the limbs that it suffices for, and perform tayammum for the rest, based on the saying of Allah the Exalted:[At-Taghabun 64:16] , and the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): Sahih al-Bukhari 7288 It is agreed upon that it is authentic. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his Companions.
