Reciting the Qur'an in the mosque in congregation
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fourth question of fatwa number ( 3302 ):
Q4: What is the ruling on reciting the Qur'an in the mosque in congregation?
A4: The question is ambiguous. If the intention is that they all recite with one voice, at the same stops and in the same sections, this is not prescribed, and the least of its states is that it is disliked; because it is not reported from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) nor from the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them). However, if it is for the sake of teaching, we hope that there is no harm in it. And if the intention is that they gather to recite the Qur'an to memorize it or learn it, and one of them recites while the others listen, or each one recites to himself without his voice or his stops meeting those of the others, then that is prescribed; for what is established from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:Sahih Muslim 2699a narrated by Muslim . And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

and those persons who assemble in the house among the houses of Allah (mosques) and recite the Book of Allah and they learn and teach the Qur'an (among themselves) there would descend upon them tranquility and mercy would cover them and the angels would surround them and Allah mentions them in the presence of those near Him
