Revisiting the Memorization of the Qur'an After Forgetting It

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 9455 ):
Q2: I am a young man, currently 23 years old. When I was twelve years old, I enrolled in a Qur'an memorization school and memorized the
entire Noble Qur'an. Now, I have forgotten all but a small portion of what I had memorized,
and I have only memorized a few parts, about four parts. Is there any sin on me for this? I have tried to memorize it again now, but I find it difficult. What should I do? Should I return to memorizing it a second time? And is there any sin on me for what I have forgotten, meaning: from its memorization?

A2: We advise you to return to memorizing it a second time, to be consistent in reading it, reviewing it, and acting upon it. We ask Allah for help and success for us and for you. There is no sin on you in this, if Allah wills, because the hadiths reported regarding the warning for one who forgets something from it are all weak. And success is from Allah. May Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
