Teach your children swimming, archery, and horseback riding
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q8: "Teach your children swimming, archery, and horseback riding." Is this a hadith or a statement by one of the Companions?
A8: We have not come across this hadith in this exact wording, but there are corroborating narrations for parts of it that indicate it has a basis, as found in [Kashf al-Khafa] by al-'Ajiluni and [al-Jami' al-Saghir] by al-Suyuti . And success is from Allah. May Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and his Companions.
