The second question of Fatwa No. ( 11469 ):
Q2:I memorized five parts of the Noble Qur'an twice in my youth, then I forgot them. I am trying hard to recover my memorization in old age, despite reading the mushaf frequently, but I have failed.and I fear Allah the Exalted; because of His saying in Surat Taha, verse ( 126 ):[Taha 20:126], the question is: does the intended meaning refer to the verses of the Noble Qur'an, or to the signs of Allah in the universe?
A2: The intended meaning of forgetting is: leaving off the action upon them. And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
