The second question of Fatwa No. ( 5728 ):
Q2: There is a group who have a valley named Umm al-Safa , and at the beginning of summer they buy a bull or a cow and slaughter it on al-Safa . This happens with them every year at the beginning of summer. I see that it is shirk (associating partners with Allah), and the reason for that is that they slaughter it with the intention of the jinn and shayatin in this valley
and the superstitions... etc.; because it is at the head of the year in one place. If it were in any place, there would be no harm; because it is with the intention of Allah. So what is the ruling on that, and is it shirk or not, and why?
A2: If the reality is as mentioned, that the slaughter in this valley is for the jinn, then it is major shirk (major shirk) that takes one out of Islam; because of the saying of Allah the Exalted:[Al-An'am 6:162-163] , and His saying: [Al-Kawthar 108:2] , and the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): Sahih Muslim 1978b narrated by Muslim in his Sahih. And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

قُلْ إِنَّ صَلاَتِي وَنُسُكِي وَمَحْيَايَ وَمَمَاتِي لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ (162) لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَبِذَلِكَ أُمِرْتُ وَأَنَا أَوَّلُ الْمُسْلِمِينَSo pray to your Lord and sacrifice [to Him alone].
فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّكَ وَانْحَرْAllah cursed him who sacrificed for anyone besides Allah
لعن الله من ذبح لغير الله
