The fourth question of Fatwa No. ( 5898 ):
Q4: It is said of some people: an Arab doctor, and a patient may be brought to him, such as a patient possessed by a jinn or otherwise, and the doctor orders them to slaughter a type of chicken, as if he says: the rooster is black or white, and its blood is placed
on the person, and he may not mention the name of Allah over it. What is the ruling in Islam regarding this?
A4: Slaughter for other than Allah is major shirk. Allah the Exalted said:[Al-An'am 6:162-163] , and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the one who slaughters for other than Allah. It is forbidden to visit such sorcerers, fortune-tellers, and the like of those who commit acts of shirk. It is also forbidden to ask them or believe them. And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

A4: Slaughter for other than Allah is major shirk. Allah the Exalted said:
(162) Say, "Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds. (163) No partner has He. And this I have been commanded, and I am the first [among you] of the Muslims."
