We traveled for 'Umrah, then we combined the prayers after the Friday prayer in the Sacred Mosque. Is this permissible?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah reward the honorableThe Shaykh : We traveled for 'Umrah, then we combined the prayers after the Friday prayer in the Sacred Mosque. Is this permissible?

The Shaykh : It is not permissible. It is not permissible to combine the 'Asr prayer with the Friday prayer, because Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He, said:
Indeed, prayer has been decreed upon the believers a decree of specified times. إِنَّ الصَّلاةَ كَانَتْ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ كِتَاباً مَوْقُوتاً
[An-Nisa 4:103]
meaning: it is fixed at a specific time. If that is the case, then it is not permissible to combine two prayers unless we know that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did so. It is not reported from the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) that he ever combined 'Asr with Friday. He only combined 'Asr with what? With Zuhr, because it is like it. As for Friday, it differs from Zuhr greatly.
If someone were to say: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not happen to pray Friday while traveling. Rather, he would pray Zuhr and 'Asr as Zuhr and 'Asr, and combine some of them with each other. Friday did not come upon him while he was traveling for him to pray it as Friday.
We say: Yes, this is correct, for Friday prayer is not prescribed while traveling. But Friday came upon him in Medina in the rain, and he did not combine 'Asr with it. Even though he used to combine 'Asr with Zuhr in the rain. But in the case of Friday, he did not combine. In which story? Listen. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) was preaching to the people on Friday, when a man entered and said:
O Messenger of Allah! The wealth has been destroyed and the paths have been cut off - there is no rain, there is no pasture - so call upon Allah to send us relief. So he raised his hands and said: O Allah, send us rain, three times - and the people were raising their hands with him - and the sky rained. The Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) did not descend from the pulpit except that the rain was dripping from his beard
. May Allah send blessings and peace upon him. A sign from the signs of Allah. The rain remained for a full week, and they did not see the sun. The sky was raining and the wadis flowed. Until the wadi called Qana'ah - which is known to this day by this name - became a place where one walks for a full month. Allahu Akbar! In the second Friday, the man or someone else entered and said:
O Messenger of Allah: The buildings have collapsed and the wealth has been drowned - from whom? From the abundance of rain - so call upon Allah to hold it back from us. So he raised his hands and said: O Allah, around us and not upon us, O Allah, upon the hills and the lowlands and the bottoms of the wadis and the places where trees grow, so it cleared up and the people went out walking in the sun
. Now, did the reason for combining exist or not? I ask you, everyone. It existed. In the first Friday, there was rain, and he did not combine 'Asr. In the second Friday, there was mud, and mud is a reason for combining, yet he did not combine. This indicates that 'Asr cannot be added to Friday by combining. And I say to this brotherThe questioner : You must now repeat the 'Asr prayer as four rak'ahs. Repeating the 'Asr as four rak'ahs is more cautious. It is more cautious regarding the four and the two, not regarding the repetition itself. The repetition is necessary; you must repeat it. Repeat the 'Asr either as four rak'ahs or as two rak'ahs. If you limit it to two rak'ahs, there is no harm, because the prayer of the traveler is two rak'ahs. And if you make it four rak'ahs because you are now in a settled state, then make it four rak'ahs. Yes.
