The Shaykh : What does it prevent?

The questioner : It prevents an epileptic seizure from occurring. However, if I become tired or exert myself, I have a seizure. Is it permissible for me to appoint someone to perform Hajj on my behalf, or should I perform Hajj myself and bear the burden?

The Shaykh : If this condition is such that its removal is not expected, then he should appoint someone to perform Hajj and 'Umrah on his behalf, if he has the financial means. If he does not have the financial means, then Hajj is not obligatory upon him. However, if its removal is expected through the continued use of medication, then he should wait until Allah cures him. I ask Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He, to cure him, grant him well-being, and remove what he is suffering from. Yes.
