Regarding those who fast the white days: the 13th, 14th, and 15th

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : He says: Regarding, O esteemed Shaykh, those who fast the white days, should one fast the 13th, 14th, and 15th of the twelfth month? Or should one fast the 13th along with the 14th and 15th, even though the 13th is one of the days of Tashriq, or should one make up the fasts during the ten days?

The Shaykh : He is asking about the one who fasts the white days, which are the 13th, 14th, and 15th. In the month of Dhu al-Hijjah, should one fast the 13th? We say: No, it is not permissible. The Festival of Sacrifice is followed by three days called the days of Tashriq. It is not permissible for a person to fast on them, except for one who did not find the sacrificial animal, whether he is performing Tamattu' or Qiran, in which case he fasts them. But we say to this person:The questioner : Fast the ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah, meaning the nine days: the first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, and ninth. That suffices for the fasts of the white days. The Mother of the Believers, Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), said:
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) used to fast three days of every month, not caring whether he fasted them at the beginning of the month, in the middle, or at the end. كان النبي صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم يصوم من كل شهر ثلاثة أيام لا يبالي أصامها في أول الشهر أم في وسطه أم في آخره
