Continuation of the discussion on the qunut for calamities, so I hope you will be kind enough to clarify the following, as it has been difficult for me to understand.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : It is not so. The qunut is supplicated in only for what it is specifically designated for. For example, if we are now making qunut for our brothers in Kosovo, we ask Allah the Exalted to help them against their enemy and to subdue their enemy. This is the principle. And if a person adds praise of Allah Mighty and Majestic and glorification of Him, and sending blessings upon His Prophet, and supplication for the Muslims, there is no harm. But he should not prolong it. For some people prolong the qunut until the worshippers behind him become bored. And this is an error. If we know that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), who is our model and our example, did not prolong the qunut for calamities, then let us follow him. Yes.
