The Shaykh : And likewise regarding the guardians of the students in the school. Who are they? The teachers, the instructors, and the administrators are their guardians. It is obligatory for them to do what is best, such as good teaching, keen observation, and firmness, so that time is not wasted for the students. It is obligatory for the teachers to present a beautiful appearance before the students that encourages them toward good. Some teachers enter the classroom with a frowning face and furrowed brows, not wanting any student to ask or discuss. In fact, if one of the students discusses with him, he rebukes and scolds him, because he has no knowledge and is ashamed. If he answers incorrectly, he exposes himself. And if he remains silent, he exposes himself. But he scolds the student, saying: "Be quiet, sit down." If the teacher scolds the student once, he will become discouraged and not ask. What the teacher should be is strong without violence, and patient without weakness, so that his life with his students is straight. And Glory be to You, O Allah, our Lord, and with Your praise. I bear witness that there is no deity but You. I seek Your forgiveness and turn to You in repentance.
And to the questions, we ask Allah to grant us success in them toward the truth.
The student: May Allah reward our father with the best reward and benefit us with what we have heard.
