What is the authenticity of the published hadiths attributed to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that contain: O Ali

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh: Yes.

The questioner: Your Eminence.

The Shaykh: We read in printed papers that are always distributed hadiths in which the Messenger - (peace and blessings be upon him) - says: O Ali, such and such, like the hadith:
O Ali, do not sleep until you do five things يا عليُّ ، لا تنم حتى تعمل خمسة أشياء
the hadith, and what is your opinion regarding the statement of "al-Sagani" in his book "Qanun al-Mawdu'at": "Every hadith containing: O Ali is invalid except for the hadith:
You are in the same position with relation to me as Aaron (Harun) was in relation to Moses but with (this explicit difference) that there is no prophet after me. يا عليُّ ، أنت مني بمنزلة هارون من موسى ؛ إلا أنه لا نبيَّ بعدي
Sahih Muslim 2404a
"?

The Shaykh: These leaflets that are published and printed, unfortunately, in abundance, as if there are people behind them who want to corrupt the culture of the Ummah, and who want to spread among them weak, denounced, and fabricated hadiths, because, unfortunately, we have not found a single one of these leaflets containing an authentic hadith, despite the abundance of authentic hadiths. It would be enough for any one of these people, if he wanted good for the Ummah, to place one of the two Sahihs before him and choose from it a hadith that pleases him, if he did not seek the help of the scholars. And this is actually the obligatory duty for the one whom Allah - (Mighty and Majestic) - has blessed with wealth and who wants to benefit people by publishing a hadith that people need or are unaware of. He must choose an authentic hadith himself, and if he cannot do so, he must ask the scholars, as He - the Exalted - said:
So ask the people of the message if you do not know. فَاسْأَلُوا أَهْلَ الذِّكْرِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ
[An-Nahl 16:43]
; therefore, I fear that there are people behind these leaflets who want - as I said earlier - to corrupt the culture of the Ummah, because they do not publish anything but weak, denounced, and fabricated hadiths.
