What is your opinion regarding al-Sagani's statement in his book *Qanun al-Mawdu'at*?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : As for what is transmitted from Imam al-Sagani, this transmission from him is correct; that is, none of the hadiths narrated from 'Ali that begin with the vocative particle "ya" are valid, except for the hadith he excluded:
being unto me what Aaron was unto Moses but with this exception that there would be no prophet after me أنت منِّي بمنزلة هارون من موسى ؛ غير أنه لا نبيَّ بعدي
Sahih Muslim 2404b
. However, what I recall is that in the two Sahihs, the wording of the vocative is not present, even though it occurred specifically regarding 'Ali when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) traveled to Tabuk for the famous Battle of Tabuk and left 'Ali behind in Madinah. 'Ali wept in sorrow that he would not be with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) as a mujahid, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) consoled him by saying:
being unto me what Aaron was unto Moses but with this exception that there would be no prophet after me أنت مني بمنزلة هارون من موسى ؛ غير أنه لا نبيَّ بعدي
Sahih Muslim 2404b
. In the two Sahihs, the word "ya" of the vocative or the letter of the vocative does not exist, except that this wording appeared in some chains of narration. The most extensive investigation I have come across was conducted by the Damascene Hafiz, Abu al-Qasim Ibn 'Asakir, in his noble, great, and large book known as *Tarikh Dimashq* (The History of Damascus), which consists of about twenty large volumes. If it were to be printed, it would come out to about one hundred volumes of the size of the *Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah* series—one hundred volumes. On the occasion of his biography of 'Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), he cited the hadiths of 'Ali:
You are from me أنت مني
, and in some of these narrations, the wording of the vocative is present.
