What is the ruling on what some students do with specific recitations and water on which they have recited for the ruqyah of one afflicted by jinn, and what is the correct method for that?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Do you have anything?

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : Please go ahead.

The questioner : Now, some students use specific places and specific recitations for the ruqyah of one afflicted by jinn, and they have with them, for example, water on which they have recited, and they sell it at prices higher than its actual cost. Is this permissible, and what is the method?

The Shaykh : We have no method that has come to us in the Shari'ah except the recitation of the Noble Qur'an. We have nothing that has come to us except this. And although we know that Ibn al-Qayyim and other scholars bring other things, I do not know if they were established for them by experience. As for the Sunnah, we have not learned any basis for that. So we say: whoever expels the jinn from the possessed by reciting the Book of Allah the Exalted, this is not to be denied, because it is an established and beneficial matter without there being shirk (associating partners with Allah) or it being a bid'ah (religious innovation). This is what we know, and we do not add to it. Please, go ahead.

The questioner : Shaykh, he takes the water.

The Shaykh : Yes.
