What is the ruling if a girl uses a hair treatment to make her hair soft, like dyeing the hair black or with other colors? Is it lawful or forbidden?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : What is the ruling if a girl uses a hair treatment to make her hair soft, like dyeing the hair black or with other colors? Is it lawful or forbidden?

The Shaykh : As for the treatment that makes the hair soft, I do not know of any harm in it, and there is no blame on her. As for what a woman uses to dye the whiteness in her hair to make it black, this is not permissible. This is because it is established in "Sahih Muslim" that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Change this gray hair and keep it away from black. غيّروا هذا الشيب وجنبوه السواد
.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : The original ruling in a command is obligation. So his saying
Keep it away from. جنّبوه
is a command, and the original ruling is that it is obligatory for us to keep it away from black. Also, dyeing it black is, in reality, contrary to the wisdom of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He). Indeed, from the wisdom of Allah the Exalted is that when a person reaches a certain age, gray hair appears in him. So if you turn this gray hair into black such that its meaning is not apparent, you have opposed Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) in His wisdom regarding this gray hair. It is well known that opposing Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) in His cosmic or legislative command is not permissible for the Muslim. Therefore, it is obligatory for the Muslim to proceed in what Allah has decreed and destined for him according to what Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) has legislated for him.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : What is prescribed in this matter is that a person should dye this whiteness with a color that is not black, a color that is between black and yellow, for example, so that it becomes dark brown.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : It should not be pure black. By this, what a person wants to avoid, or what he wants to appear on his hair from whiteness, is removed to a color, but it is not from what the prohibition was mentioned regarding, which is black.

The questioner : The third question says.
