The Shaykh : The second hadith is from Anas - likewise - that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) entered upon a young man who was dying and said:
How do you find yourself? كيف تجدك ؟
. He said: I hope for Allah, O Messenger of Allah, and I fear my sins. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
These two will not be gathered in a worshipper's heart at a time such as this, except that Allah will grant him what he hopes and make him safe from what he fears. لا يجتمعان في قلب عبدٍ في مثل هذا الموطن إلا أعطاه الله ما يرجو ، وأمَّنَه مما يخاف
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 983Hasan (Darussalam)
. It was narrated by al-Tirmidhi, who said: A strange hadith, and by Ibn Majah and Ibn Abi al-Dunya, all of them from the narration of Ja'far ibn Sulayman al-Du'bali from Thabit from Anas. Al-Hafiz - meaning al-Mundhiri - said: Its chain is good, for Ja'far is truthful and sound, and Muslim relied on him, and al-Nasa'i deemed him trustworthy, while al-Daraqutni and others spoke about him.
