Exegesis of His saying, the Exalted: (When the most wretched of them set out)

Allah the Exalted said:
When their most wretched one set outإِذْ انْبَعَثَ أَشْقَاهَا
[Surat al-Shams: 12] This is an explanation of the tyranny that Allah the Mighty and Majestic mentioned, and that was when the most wretched of them set out. (Set out) means: they rushed off quickly, and (the most wretched of them) means: the most wretched of the people of Thamud,Meaning: the highest of them in wretchedness, and refuge is sought in Allah, intending to put an end to this she-camel,So Salih said to them:
the she-camel of Allah or [prevent her from] her drink."نَاقَةَ اللَّهِ وَسُقْيَاهَا
[Surat al-Shams: 13] He said to them, "The she-camel of Allah and its water supply," meaning: leave the she-camel of Allah alone,As Allah the Exalted said in another verse:
So leave her to eat within Allah 's landفَذَرُوهَا تَأْكُلْ فِي أَرْضِ اللَّهِ
[Surat al-A'raf: 73] meaning: leave the she-camel alone, do not kill it,Do not harm it, but the result was the opposite:
So they lied to himفَكَذَّبُوهُ
[Surat al-Shams: 14] meaning: they lied to Salih,And they said: saying, "You are not a messenger," and so it is with all the messengers who were sent to their peoples; their peoples label them with defects, as Allah the Exalted said:
Similarly, there came not to those before them any messenger except that they said, "A magician or a madman."كَذَلِكَ مَا أَتَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ مِنْ رَسُولٍ إِلَّا قَالُوا سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ
[Surat al-Dhariyat: 52] This was said to all the messengers: "A sorcerer or a madman,"As was said to the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him): "He is a lying sorcerer, a madman, a poet, a soothsayer." But do the bad titles that the enemies assign to the awliya (close friends of Allah) harm them?
They do not harm them; rather, they increase in elevation with Allah the Glorified and Exalted, and if they seek reward for it, they are rewarded for it,So He the Mighty and Majestic says:
So they lied to him and slaughtered itفَكَذَّبُوهُ فَعَقَرُوهَا
[Surat al-Shams: 14] meaning: they slaughtered the she-camel in a manner that resulted in destruction.
