The Ruling on Boycotting a Person for More Than Three Days

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
There is a hadith that says: Whoever boycotts his Muslim brother for three days enters the Fire. What is the authenticity of this hadith?
I do not recall the hadith in this exact wording, but it is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: (It is not permissible for a believer to boycott his brother for more than three days. They meet, and this one turns away and that one turns away, and the best of them is the one who begins with the greeting of peace).

The questioner: This hadith, O Shaykh, does it not pass by you?Answer: No.
Boycotting a believer is forbidden, even if he is an open sinner or a disobedient person. You should not boycott him unless the open sinner or the disobedient person benefits from the boycott by feeling ashamed and repenting; in that case, there is no harm in boycotting him for the sake of his reform, and the boycott may even be required in such a case.
