Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (But you prefer the life of this world)]

Then Allah the Exalted said:
(16) But you prefer the worldly life, (17) While the Hereafter is better and more enduring.بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا * وَالآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَى
[Al-A'la: 16-17] (Bal) here is for transitional negation; because (bal) is used for negating negation, and it is used for transitional negation,Meaning: that He, Glorified and Exalted is He, moved on from the speech without invalidating it; He moved on to clarify the state of the human being, that he prefers the life of this world; because it is immediate, and the human being was created from haste, and he loves what is in haste, so you find that he prefers the life of this world, and it is in reality, according to its description, lowly; lowly in time and lowly in description.
As for its being lowly in time, that is because it precedes the Hereafter, so it is prior to it, and "lowly" means near,And as for its being lowly in description, that is: deficient, so such is the reality, for however long this world lasts for a person, its end is perishing, and however much it flourishes for a person, its outcome is withering, for this reason, hardly does a day pass for you in joy but it is followed by sadness,And in this, the poet says:
a day is against us and a day is for us, a day we are humiliated and a day we are pleased
Reflect on your state in this world, and you will find that no time passes for you where clarity is always present, but there must be turbidity, and joy is not always present, but there must be sadness, and comfort is not always present, but there must be fatigue.
