The ruling on supplication after finishing the reading of a lesson

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
There are some people in our mosque who, after the Fajr prayer ends, sit down and read *Riyad al-Salihin*. After they finish, they raise their hands, and the one who is telling them the story makes a supplication, and they say "Ameen" behind him. Is this supplication permissible?
Yes! This supplication is permissible because the original purpose of the sitting is not for supplication or dhikr; the original purpose of the sitting is to read religious knowledge. However, it should not be made a regular, fixed practice (sunnah rawatib); because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did not stand up to make a supplication every time he gave a sermon to his Companions or told them a story.

The questioner: They are continuing to do this, O Shaykh! The Shaykh: They should be told: Do not continue doing it, sometimes.
We ask Allah the Exalted to grant us and you beneficial knowledge and righteous deeds.
