The ruling on one who performs 'Umrah for himself and Hajj on behalf of another

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Your Eminence! A man performed Hajj and 'Umrah, intending the 'Umrah for himself and the Hajj for another. Is he considered a mutamatti'?
If a person performs 'Umrah for himself and intends to perform Hajj for another in the same year, he is considered a mutamatti'; because the actor is one person; he combined 'Umrah and Hajj; But I ask you: Why did he make the 'Umrah for himself and the Hajj for another? Is he doing it as a charity, or has the other person appointed him to perform Hajj? The questioner: He intended the 'Umrah for another, and the Hajj for himself.

The Shaykh: Is he doing it as a charity? The questioner: Yes, as a charity.

The Shaykh: There is no harm in that.

The questioner: And if he is not doing it as a charity? The Shaykh: If he is not doing it as a charity, then what is known among us in our custom is that when a person appoints you to perform Hajj and gives you the expenses, it is understood that he wants both 'Umrah and Hajj.
