Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (So that We may bring forth thereby grain and plants, and gardens of interwoven foliage)

Exegesis of His saying, the Exalted: (So that We may bring forth thereby grain and plants, and gardens of interwoven foliage)

Allah the Exalted said:
(15) That We may bring forth thereby grain and vegetation (16) And gardens of entwined growth.لِنُخْرِجَ بِهِ حَبّاً وَنَبَاتاً * وَجَنَّاتٍ أَلْفَافاً
[Al-Naba: 15-16] The love and the vegetation are the crops, which is the vegetation that has no stalk.
And gardens of interwoven foliageوَجَنَّاتٍ أَلْفَافاً
[Al-Naba: 16] These are the trees that have stalks. Thus, this flowing water brings forth the crops, the date palms, the grapes, and others, whether it emerges directly from it or is extracted from the depths of the earth; for the water in the depths of the earth is from the rain, as the Exalted said:
and sent down water from the sky and given you drink from it. And you are not its retainers.فَأَنْزَلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَأَسْقَيْنَاكُمُوهُ وَمَا أَنْتُمْ لَهُ بِخَازِنِينَ
[Al-Hijr: 22] And the Exalted said in another verse:
and makes it flow as springs [and rivers] in the earthفَسَلَكَهُ يَنَابِيعَ فِي الْأَرْضِ
[Az-Zumar: 21] And His saying: (ALFAFAAN) means: intertwined with one another, so much so that they cover those within them; due to their abundance and their intertwining with one another.
