The Specificity of Sins in Makkah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
We are a group of young men who have come from the Noble Makkah to visit you. Peace be upon you, upon the people of Qassim in general, and upon your eminence in particular. We also convey to you the greetings from the Noble Makkah and its people. And truly, here is a request, O Shaykh: These are some of the advices you direct to the youth of Makkah, especially since they are the people of the Noble Makkah and the House of Allah the Sacred. Since we live in one of the neighborhoods that is full of evil and what contradicts the command of Allah, Mighty and Majestic, may Allah guide you to what He loves and is pleased with?
And peace be upon you and them. We miss Makkah greatly and Madinah greatly. It is obligatory for all the servants of Allah, Mighty and Majestic, to be true servants of Allah, obeying His command and avoiding His prohibition, especially in Makkah, where Allah the Exalted said:
and [also] whoever intends [a deed] therein of deviation [in religion] or wrongdoing - We will make him taste of a painful punishment.وَمَنْ يُرِدْ فِيهِ بِإِلْحَادٍ بِظُلْمٍ نُذِقْهُ مِنْ عَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ
[Al-Hajj: 25] Therefore, sins in Makkah are greater in crime and larger in sin, even if they do not increase in quantity, they increase in quality. I warn those you mentioned, if they exist, of the consequences of their bad deeds. It is obligatory for you to advise them first. If they fulfill the obligation, that is what is required. If they do not fulfill the obligation, there are specialized authorities to whom you should refer the matter, because Allah says:
And fear a trial which will not strike those who have wronged among you exclusivelyوَاتَّقُوا فِتْنَةً لا تُصِيبَنَّ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مِنْكُمْ خَاصَّةً
[Al-Anfal: 25] The silence of people regarding evil, when they have the ability to change it, is a cause for the punishment of Allah, Mighty and Majestic, and a cause for fitnah (trial, discord or temptation). A person is tried in his religion more than he has been tried. It is obligatory for you now, may Allah bless you, to offer advice. If they are guided, that is what is required. If they are not guided, it is obligatory that they be referred to the rulers. And, if Allah wills, the rulers will do what will please the eyes of the believers.
