Is it the husband's right to prevent his wife from visiting her parents, relatives, and kin, especially if the husband is in debt?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner: Well, there was a question I wanted to ask today, but I am afraid of it. Is it the husband's right to prevent his wife from visiting her parents, relatives, and kin, especially if the husband is in debt? May Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh: This is a question, may Allah bless you, it is a stretch.

The questioner: In brief, may Allah reward you with good, because this is important.

The Shaykh: Meaning.

The questioner: Go ahead.

The Shaykh: There is a difference between preventing her from maintaining contact with her relatives absolutely, which is forbidden for him, and preventing her from excessive contact, in which case he has that right. The matter is, as it is in all affairs, according to the saying of Allah the Exalted:
And He was a firm support between them. وَكَانَ بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ قَوَامًا
This is the answer.

The questioner: Meaning, you do not advise.

The Shaykh: I advise her based on this distinction.
