The Ruling on Not Cleaning Oneself from Urine

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
What has become widespread in this time is the failure to clean oneself from urine, among the young and the old, the male and the female, the knowledgeable and the ignorant, especially when wearing socks in winter, because the floor of the restroom is harsh; so some urine must reach the person if he does not take care, and many people are lax in this matter. So what is your advice, may Allah guide you?
There is no doubt that being lax in purifying oneself from urine is a great error; because it is one of the causes of the punishment of the grave, as established in the two Sahihs from the hadith of Abdullah ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by two graves and said: (Indeed, they are being punished, and they are not being punished for something great -Meaning: in a matter that is difficult for them - as for one of them, he did not shield himself from urine, -Meaning: he did not clean himself from it nor ensure its complete removal - and as for the other, he used to spread backbiting) ,And it is narrated from him (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: (Clean yourselves from urine, for most of the punishment of the grave is from it) , then the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) took a fresh palm branch and split it in two, and he stuck one in each grave,They said: Why did you do that?He said: (Perhaps it will lighten the punishment for them as long as they do not dry out) .

Some scholars (may Allah have mercy on them) derived from this hadith: that it is recommended that when a deceased person is buried, a fresh palm branch or a tree branch or something similar be stuck in his grave, and this is a great error, for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not place this on every grave, he only placed it on two graves that were being punished. Do you know that this grave is being punished when you place this branch? The answer is no,Therefore: you have now thought ill of the person in the grave by placing the branch on it,Meaning: as if you are saying: this grave is being punished, and you do not know that,And I only pointed this out because some scholars said: that it is recommended to place a fresh branch on the grave after burial, or a tree branch or something similar, and this is undoubtedly an error and is not from the Sunnah.

Then, regarding what the brother questioner mentioned about the restrooms now and that they are hard, it is said: Restrooms are undoubtedly hard, but restrooms have a specific place where the urine is, which is the basin in which a person urinates, and what is outside this basin is not impure, and if a person uses a pitcher or something else, he is safe from urine splashing on his socks or his leather shoes, and I see no harm in this.
Yes, some people, when they want to clean themselves, place a container beside them to pour water into, then they scoop water with their hand from the container and sprinkle it on their private parts, this is what may cause some urine to splash on them, so if the one who places the container used a pitcher, it would be better and closer to cleanliness.
