Exegesis of His saying, the Exalted: (And He found you lost, so He guided you)

Allah the Exalted said:

And He found you lost and guided [you],

وَوَجَدَكَ ضَالاًّ فَهَدَى

[Al-Dhuha: 7] (He found you lost) means: not knowing; because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) did not know anything before the revelation was sent down to him,As Allah the Exalted said:

and has taught you that which you did not know

وَعَلَّمَكَ مَا لَمْ تَكُنْ تَعْلَمُ

[Al-Nisa: 113] and He said:

And you did not recite before it any scripture, nor did you inscribe one with your right hand

وَمَا كُنْتَ تَتْلُو مِنْ قَبْلِهِ مِنْ كِتَابٍ وَلا تَخُطُّهُ بِيَمِينِكَ

[Al-'Ankabut: 48] so he (peace and blessings be upon him) did not know anything, rather he was among the unlettered

It is He who has sent among the unlettered a Messenger from themselves

هُوَ الَّذِي بَعَثَ فِي الْأُمِّيِّينَ رَسُولاً مِنْهُمْ

[Al-Jumu'ah: 2] not reading and not writing, but he reached this great height through the revelation that Allah sent down upon him, so he knew and he taught.

And here he said: (Lost, so He guided you) and He did not say: so He guided you; so that this would be more comprehensive and broader, for he was guided (peace and blessings be upon him) and Allah guided through him, so he is a guide and one who is guided (peace and blessings be upon him).
So (He guided you) means: He guided you and He guided through you.
