Advising those who neglect the congregational prayer in a good manner
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
We ask your Eminence to guide the imams to advise those who neglect the congregational prayer in the best manner!
By Allah, my brother! Advising those who neglect the prayer is for the imam to bring verses and hadiths that encourage the congregational prayer and warn against neglecting it, in a general way,Meaning: with sermons from time to time, and then he personally addresses those he sees frequently neglecting it, advising them privately between him and them.
The questioner: The people of the congregation in the mosque should not have a role in the advice! The Shaykh: There is no obstacle, there is nothing wrong if these people are those who give sincere advice, not just expose faults;Because some people say: we did this and that, and we went to so-and-so,And we said to him: like that, this is not appropriate, unless they say it to someone who can discipline this person who neglects the prayer, such as saying it to the authority who can discipline him, but exposing the fault among the people is not permissible; because the person does not benefit, whether the one being spoken about or the one speaking. If the group consists of five active, advising brothers whose words and advice a person can be convinced by, then that is good, on the condition that they are, as I said, advisors, not those who expose faults.
And Allah knows best, and may Allah send prayers and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions.
