The Deeds of Satan and His Whispers to the Children of Adam

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
In the saying of Allah, Mighty and Majestic, regarding Satan:
But I had no authority over you except that I invited you, and you responded to meوَمَا كَانَ لِيَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنْ سُلْطَانٍ إِلَّا أَنْ دَعَوْتُكُمْ فَاسْتَجَبْتُمْ لِي
[Ibrahim:22] is evidence that the call of Satan, his supporters, and his helpers is whispering and suggestion. Then we see and hear often that some people, who are among the friends of Satan, fly in the air or perform extraordinary deeds. How do we reconcile the fact that Allah said regarding Satan: that it is a call, with their performance of unusual deeds? We seek clarification.
Those who perform extraordinary deeds are aided by the devils in doing so; because they responded to the call of Satan, the devils helped them in what they desire. For example: These people cannot perform these extraordinary deeds unless they associate partners with Allah and disbelieve in Him by obeying Satan.Either Satan says to him: [Satan says], "Prostrate," or "Sacrifice," or the like of that which constitutes shirk (associating partners with Allah) and kufr (disbelief). Then the devils assist them in these matters. The devils actually carry them to distant places, but people do not see them. So a person thinks that those who performed these extraordinary deeds are among the awliya (close friends of Allah), whereas in reality they are among the enemies of Allah and the friends of the devils.

And his statement:
except that I invited you, and you responded to meإِلَّا أَنْ دَعَوْتُكُمْ فَاسْتَجَبْتُمْ لِي
[Ibrahim:22] is more comprehensive than what I mentioned. So if a person is called to shirk (associating partners with Allah) and he associates partners, he has responded to Satan.

So he says: I have no authority over you, nor any power, ability, or argument against you, but I called you to what I called you to, and you responded to me.
