Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (When the lote tree was covered by what covered it)

Allah the Exalted said:
(15) Near it is the Garden of Refuge - (16) When there covered the Lote Tree that which covered [it].عِنْدَهَا جَنَّةُ الْمَأْوَى * إِذْ يَغْشَى السِّدْرَةَ مَا يَغْشَى
[Surat al-Najm: 15-16] What is the lote tree? Which lote tree is it? It is the Lote Tree of the Utmost Boundary,Because he said in the first:
(13) And he certainly saw him in another descent (14) At the Lote Tree of the Utmost Boundary -وَلَقَدْ رَآهُ نَزْلَةً أُخْرَى * عِنْدَ سِدْرَةِ الْمُنْتَهَى
[Surat al-Najm: 13-14] Then He said:
When there covered the Lote Treeإِذْ يَغْشَى السِّدْرَةَ
[Surat al-Najm: 16] And the (al) in such an expression is called by grammarians the al of known reference,Like His saying, the Exalted:
just as We sent to Pharaoh a messenger. (16) But Pharaoh disobeyed the messengerكَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا إِلَى فِرْعَوْنَ رَسُولاً * فَعَصَى فِرْعَوْنُ الرَّسُولَ
[Surat al-Muzzammil: 15-16] .
When there covered the Lote Treeإِذْ يَغْشَى السِّدْرَةَ
[Surat al-Najm: 16] meaning: the Lote Tree of the Utmost Boundary,
what covers itمَا يَغْشَى
[Surat al-Najm: 16] Allah made that ambiguous for the sake of magnification and glorification, meaning: something great covered it,The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: (Indeed, it was covered by beauty and splendor that no one can describe) Glory to Allah the Great!
When there covered the Lote Tree that which covered [it].إِذْ يَغْشَى السِّدْرَةَ مَا يَغْشَى
[An-Najm 53:16]
The parallel to this ambiguity for the sake of glorification is the saying of Allah Blessed and Exalted is He:
and there covered them from the sea that which covered them,فَغَشِيَهُمْ مِنَ الْيَمِّ مَا غَشِيَهُمْ
[Surat Ta-Ha: 78] meaning: what covered them of the sea water covered them, and it is something great,This also:
When there covered the Lote Tree that which covered [it].إِذْ يَغْشَى السِّدْرَةَ مَا يَغْشَى
[An-Najm 53:16]
meaning: something great covered it by the command of Allah Mighty and Majestic, in a moment, "Be, and it is."
