How a Woman Becomes Pure After Childbirth

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Your Eminence! How does a woman become pure if it is her first time giving birth, and thirty days have passed since the delivery, but the blood is still continuing, and then immediately after that yellowish discharge appeared and continued until the fiftieth day? How does she become pure?
We see that this woman, if the blood stops for her, she should take a full ritual bath, pray, and fast, even if it is before forty days, and even if she has yellowish discharge.Regarding the hadith of Umm Atiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her): (We did not consider yellowish discharge or brownish discharge to be anything) This is the wording of al-Bukhari.
So if she becomes pure and prays, that would be better for her; but if she repeats what came before, that is good, and if she does not repeat it, she owes nothing.

The questioner: There is a remainder in the question,In your letter: regarding women’s blood, perhaps there is a difference between menstruation and post-natal bleeding, in that if the blood stops in menstruation and then the yellowish discharge returns during the time of menstruation, it is considered menstruation. Is post-natal bleeding limited to a time of forty days, or is it more or less? The Shaykh: The correct view is that post-natal bleeding lasts up to sixty days; this is the correct view. But if it stops before sixty, or before forty, or before twenty, then she takes a full ritual bath, prays, and fasts, and her husband may have intercourse with her, and there is no harm.

The questioner: What if the yellowish discharge comes immediately after the blood without any purity in between? The Shaykh: Yes, that is what we have seen recently; because this is more comfortable for women,And some women say to us: the yellowish discharge remains with them for most of the month,And some of them say: the yellowish discharge continues until the second menstruation.
