Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (They ask: When is the Day of Judgment?)

Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (They ask: When is the Day of Judgment?)]
And among the ignorance of the polytheists is that they
They ask, "When is the Day of Recompense?"يَسْأَلونَ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ الدِّينِ
[Al-Dhariyat: 12] asked in a manner of rejection and denial. Had they asked in a manner of seeking information and inquiry, they would have been excused. As Jibril said to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): (Inform me about the Hour), but did he say it in a manner of rejection and denial? No, rather he said it in a manner of seeking information and inquiry. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: (The one asked about it is not more knowledgeable than the one asking).
But those fabricators,
They ask, "When is the Day of Recompense?"يَسْأَلونَ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ الدِّينِ
[Adh-Dhariyat 51:12]
meaning: When is it? in a manner of rejection. For this reason, Allah said about them in Surat (Qaf):
and the disbelievers say, "This is an amazing thing. (3) When we have died and have become dust, [we will return to life]? That is a distant return."فَقَالَ الْكَافِرُونَ هَذَا شَيْءٌ عَجِيبٌ * أَإِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَاباً ذَلِكَ رَجْعٌ بَعِيدٌ
[Qaf: 2-3] meaning: Shall we be returned after we have become dust? That is a far return.
So they ask about the Day of Resurrection not in a manner of seeking information and inquiry to become certain, but in a manner of rejection and denial.
