Exegesis of His saying, the Exalted: (On a Day when their plotting will avail them nothing)

Allah the Exalted said:

The Day their plan will not avail them at all, nor will they be helped.

يَوْمَ لا يُغْنِي عَنْهُمْ كَيْدُهُمْ شَيْئاً وَلا هُمْ يُنْصَرُونَ

[Surat al-Tur: 46] When death comes to them, their plotting will avail them nothing; for they are in the grip of Allah, their period of being given a chance to repent has ended, and nothing remains before them but the punishment.

And indeed, for those who have wronged is a punishment before that, but most of them do not know.

وَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا عَذَاباً دُونَ ذَلِكَ وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لا يَعْلَمُونَ

[Surat al-Tur: 47] (And indeed, for those who wronged) and by them are meant the disbelievers,Allah the Exalted said:

And the disbelievers - they are the wrongdoers.

وَالْكَافِرُونَ هُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ

[Surat al-Baqarah: 254] .

And indeed, for those who have wronged is a punishment before that

وَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا عَذَاباً دُونَ ذَلِكَ

[At-Tur 52:47]

meaning: other than the punishment of death; that is what they suffered of drought, famine, fear, wars, and other things that occurred before death,

but most of them do not know."

وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لا يَعْلَمُونَ
