Discussion of the saying of Allah the Exalted: "Indeed, they are plotting a plot, and I am plotting a plot"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :
(15) Indeed, they are planning a plan, (16) But I am planning a plan.
[At-Tariq 86:15-16]
Who is plotting, and against whom are they plotting? Indeed, they are plotting a plot. Yes.
The student: The disbelievers.

The Shaykh : The disbelievers are plotting against whom? Against the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). Mention to me one instance of their plotting?
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : From the Qur'an, my brother, from the Qur'an وإذ يمكر

And [recall] when those who disbelieved plotted against you to imprison you, or kill you, or drive you out. And they plot, and Allah plots. And Allah is the best of planners. The Shaykh: Well done, may Allah reward you. And I am plotting a plot. "A plot" means a plot greater than their plot, as Allah the Exalted said: "And they plot, and Allah plots. And Allah is the best of planners." And they plot, and Allah plots. And Allah is the best of planners. And how much is the plotting of Allah against those who plot against Him?
