The Presentation of Cattle in the Farewell Pilgrimage on Behalf of the Wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
His Eminence the Shaykh: The Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) presented one hundred camels on the day of the Farewell Pilgrimage. Was this hundred exclusively for him, or for him and his wives?
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) presented one hundred she-camels in the Farewell Pilgrimage. He slaughtered sixty-three of them with his own hand, and gave the rest to 'Ali ibn Abi Talib to slaughter and distribute their meat. He ordered that a piece be taken from every camel, which was placed in a pot and cooked. He ate from its meat and drank from its broth. In fulfillment of the saying of Allah the Exalted:
So eat from itفَكُلُوا مِنْهَا
[Al-Hajj: 28] This was on his own behalf only, except that he included 'Ali ibn Abi Talib in the sacrificial animals, as reported in Sahih Muslim from the hadith of Jabir. As for his wives, he presented cattle on their behalf.
