The state of the Muslim upon seeing clouds
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Upon seeing clouds, is it recommended that our state be like the state of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), with his awe and fear, or is it permissible to rejoice, as Aisha mentioned to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)?
Look, may Allah reward you! Pretending to be ill is not like being ill, and applying kohl is not like having kohl. A person who puts on a show while his heart is empty of the fear of Allah, there is no benefit in that. But the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), by his nature, feared; because he was the most knowledgeable of people about Allah. And it has been said: Whoever is more knowledgeable about Allah is more afraid of Him.
And it is known that the Messenger’s face would change, and he would go out and come in until it rained. And he said: (What gives us security that there is no punishment in it? A people were already punished by the wind) As for the person for whom this has become customary and according to the fitrah, he rejoices and is pleased, and he believes that this cloud brings good.
