Exegesis of the final verses of Surat al-Baqarah. Allah the Exalted said: "To Allah belongs what is in the heavens and what is in the earth."

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and I send prayers and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets, and upon his family and his Companions, and those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment. — Raise your voice a little.
As for what follows:
We listened to what our imam recited in this night in the Maghrib prayer, which is the night of Saturday, the eleventh of the month of Rabi' al-Akhir, in the year 1416, in the Prophet's Mosque.
He recited the end of Surat al-Baqarah in the first rak'ah, and the end of Surat al-Nahl in the second rak'ah. All the verses are very important, but we begin with the first, then the first, discussing the verses he recited from the end of Surat al-Baqarah. So we say:
Allah Mighty and Majestic said:
To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth
[Al-Baqarah 2:255]
"Ma" is a noun — its meaning — what is the noun?
It is a relative pronoun that encompasses everything in the heavens and the earth, so it belongs to Allah, and no one shares with Him in it, as Allah Blessed and Exalted is He said in Surat Fatir:
and they do not have therein any partnership [with Him], nor is there for Him from among them any assistant.
[Saba 34:22]
Yes,
(22) Say, [O Muhammad], "Invoke those you claim [as deities] besides Allah." They do not possess an atom's weight [of ability] in the heavens or on the earth, and they do not have therein any partnership [with Him], nor is there for Him from among them any assistant. (23) And intercession does not benefit with Him except for one whom He permits. [And those wait] until, when terror is removed from their hearts, they will say [to one another], "What has your Lord said?" They will say, "The truth." And He is the Most High, the Grand.
[Saba 34:22-23]
And in the verse there is restriction, meaning: the restriction of the ownership of the heavens and the earth to Allah alone. Restriction is specifying a thing with something else. So what is the method of restriction in this verse? Please, stand up?
The student: Placing what is right to be delayed.

The Shaykh : Where is the placement?
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : And its right.
The student: To be delayed.

The Shaykh : Because it is.
The student: A predicate.

The Shaykh : Because it is a predicate. May Allah reward you.
To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth
[Al-Baqarah 2:255]
If we wanted to parse it, we would say: "Ma" is the subject, and "li-Allah" is its predicate. So the predicate was placed first, and placing the predicate first indicates restriction and exclusivity. So the ownership of the heavens and the earth is for Allah alone. As for our ownership of what we own, like a person's ownership of his pen, or his watch, or his garment, this is limited ownership. Therefore, it is not permissible for us to dispose of this ownership except according to what Allah has permitted us in it. Have you seen if a person wanted to burn his wealth, does he have the right to do this? Answer, everyone. No, because Allah the Exalted says:
And do not give the weak-minded your property, which Allah has made a means of sustenance for you
[An-Nisa 4:5]
meaning they corrupt it. And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the waste of wealth.
