Causes of Steadfastness in the Religion

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
O esteemed Shaykh! Trials have multiplied in this time, so what are the most important causes of steadfastness in the religion of Allah (Mighty and Majestic)?
The most important cause of steadfastness is faith in Allah (Mighty and Majestic), and being pleased with Him, and carrying out His obedience to the extent of one's ability. It is narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: (When you see greed that is obeyed, desires that are followed, a world that is preferred, and every person with an opinion being pleased with his own opinion, then hold fast to your own affair and leave the affairs of the common people) Although this description does not apply to us now, praise be to Allah. Yes, there is (greed that is obeyed) the people's competition for the love of wealth and seeking it. (A world that is preferred) is also present, for many people prefer the world over the Hereafter. (Desires that are followed) is also present, even among the scholars; you find some scholars who want nothing but to support their own opinion and desire, regardless of whether it is the truth or an error. (And every person with an opinion being pleased with his own opinion) this is also from the trial: that a person, if he sees an opinion, even if he is not a scholar, sees an opinion in worldly matters, for example, and is pleased with it and does not submit to anything else, even if it is proven to be the truth. So here, hold fast to your own affair. The person should turn to Allah (Mighty and Majestic) according to what came in the Qur'an and the Sunnah, and according to what the righteous Salaf followed, and fear Allah as much as he is able by enjoining good and forbidding evil, and calling to Allah with knowledge.
