Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (And those who disbelieved and denied Our verses, those are the companions of the Blazing Fire)
Allah the Exalted said: [Al-Hadid: 19] (Al-Jahim) is one of the names of the Fire and its inhabitants,Meaning: those who are constantly with it. Therefore, when a verse containing (companions) passes you by, the meaning is that they are constantly with it and eternally abiding in it. We ask Allah for safety.
The earlier verses encourage the attributes that lead to the Gardens, for Allah the Exalted did not mention these matters to us merely for us to be aware of them, but so that we strive for them. They also contain a warning against disbelief and denial, lest a person fall into this painful punishment [Al-Hadid: 19].
Allah the Exalted said:
And those who disbelieve and deny Our signs - those will be companions
