The questioner : What type of intercession does a child intercede for his father if he committed undutifulness toward him?

The Shaykh : It is known in many hadiths that the young children on the Day of Resurrection will stand at the gate of Paradise, weeping and asking for their fathers. Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He, will send Jibril (peace be upon him) to them to ask them the reason for their weeping, and Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He, knows them best. Jibril (peace be upon him) will come to them and ask them, and they will say: "We will not enter Paradise unless our fathers are with us." Then permission will come from the Lord of the Worlds, Blessed and Exalted is He, for them and their fathers to enter Paradise. This is the type of intercession, which is hastening the entry into Paradise, that is deserved by the fathers who committed undutifulness, meaning those who slaughtered animals on behalf of their children.
