Is a woman rewarded for her patience regarding being prevented from prayer and fasting during her menstrual days?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Now, I say: Is a woman rewarded for her patience regarding being prevented from prayer and fasting during her menstrual days? The answer is: Yes. Therefore, a woman should not strain herself in Ramadan and use pills to prevent menstruation so that she does not break her fast and does not leave off night prayer. We say: No, thank Allah, and leave things as they are naturally. This is better for the body and safer from consequences, and it is something Allah has decreed for the daughters of Adam. Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), the best of the wives of this Ummah, if we were asked: Who is the best of the wives of this Ummah? We would say: Aisha and Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with them both). She was with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) during the Farewell Pilgrimage, performing 'Umrah as a Tamattu' pilgrim, combining Hajj with 'Umrah, like the other wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). So, during the journey, her menstruation came upon her. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) entered upon her while she was crying, because she knew that a menstruating woman cannot perform Tawaf or Sa'y. He said:
What is making you cry? ما يبكيك ؟
She told him that she had started menstruating. He said to her:
This is what Allah has ordained for all the daughters, of Adam هذا شيء كتبه الله على بنات آدم
Sahih Muslim 1211i
as consolation and comfort:
what Allah has ordained for all the daughters, of Adam شيء كتبه الله على بنات آدم
Sahih Muslim 1211i
meaning: It is not specific to you. It is known that a person is consoled when he sees another in the same situation, and takes comfort in that.
what Allah has ordained for all the daughters, of Adam شيء كتبه الله على بنات آدم
Sahih Muslim 1211i
Then he guided her on what to do. The point is: We tell the woman: If menstruation comes upon her in Ramadan, do not grieve, do not be sad, do not cry. This is something Allah has decreed for the daughters of Adam. So, leave the body in its natural state; it is safer and less dangerous than diseases. Then, if you break your fast, make it up afterwards. So, what is the sixth condition? Being free from preventers. And the preventer is menstruation and what else? And post-natal bleeding. So, if a woman is healthy, strong, and capable of fasting during menstruation, she does not fast. Likewise, during post-natal bleeding, until she becomes pure. Now, if she becomes pure during the day, a menstruating woman becomes pure during the daytime, performs Ghusl, and prays, is she obligated to abstain for the rest of the day, or is she permitted to eat and drink for the rest of that day? The scholars have two opinions on this: and they are two narrations from the Imam of the People of the Sunnah, Ahmad ibn Hanbal (may Allah have mercy on them all). Imam Ahmad once said: She should abstain. And once he said: She should not abstain. As for making up the fast, making it up is necessary, making up this day in which she became pure. But whoever reflects on the evidence finds that the stronger opinion is: that she is not obligated to abstain, and that she is permitted to eat and drink for the rest of her day. Because abstaining does not benefit her in any way. Abstaining does not benefit her in any way. Will half a day be counted for her? No. So, what is the benefit?
What would Allah do with your punishment if you are grateful and believe? And ever is Allah Appreciative and Knowing. مَا يَفْعَلُ اللَّهُ بِعَذَابِكُمْ إِنْ شَكَرْتُمْ وَآمَنْتُمْ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ شَاكِراً عَلِيماً
[An-Nisa 4:147]
So, she is not obligated to abstain. But it is good that her eating and drinking be hidden from those in her family's house, because the boys and young children might think that Ramadan is a matter of choice, where whoever wants breaks the fast and whoever wants fasts. And by the way, I say: The danger of non-Muslim servants is that their presence in the house is harmful to the family. Harmful to the family. Because the young children in the family see their people praying, performing Wudu, and fasting. And this impure servant does not fast and does not pray. It will remain in their minds, because a small child does not forget. A small child does not forget. What he saw in his childhood is imprinted on his imagination. It remains, he does not forget, and he keeps asking: Is prayer obligatory or not? What led him to this questioning? That the servant does not pray. And he does not know that there is a difference between the disbeliever and the Muslim. But if everyone in the house prays, he has no doubt. Likewise, if everyone in the house fasts, he has no doubt. The doubt arises when he sees this servant eating, drinking, and playing, while the family is fasting. And this is among the dangers of non-Muslim servants. Even though, how can a sane person be satisfied that the enemy of Allah, the enemy of His Messenger, the enemy of the believers, and the enemy of the master of the house is present in his bosom, in the house, eating and drinking at his place? And Allah the Exalted has forbidden the polytheists to approach the Sacred Mosque. And the Sacred Mosque is inanimate. He forbade the polytheists to approach it in order to honor Allah the Exalted. So, how are you satisfied that the impure is with you in the house? But hearts have hardened, and been distanced from the remembrance of Allah. And people have started to imitate one another openly and blindly, and I seek refuge in Allah. And they do not care. The important thing is that her cooking is good, her roasting of meat is good. Yes, and her washing of clothes is good. And in the morning and evening she cleans the house. This is a pearl. But in reality, she is a calamity and a trial. So, the result is that these are the conditions for the one upon whom fasting is obligatory, what is it? For its performance.
