The Shaykh : The only cause that Allah (Mighty and Majestic) indicated is in His saying:[Ali 'Imran 3:31]. The more a person is in following the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), the more he loves Allah. The issue is not that you love Allah; the issue is that Allah (Mighty and Majestic) loves you. For this reason, the answer came: [Ali 'Imran 3:31]. He did not say, “Follow me and you will be truthful in your claims.” He said: [Ali 'Imran 3:31]. So, if you know the love of Allah, you must strive with complete earnestness to hold fast to what? To the Sunnah of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). You will then find the love of Allah for you, and your love for Allah.
We ask Allah to make this a reality for us. He is capable of all things, and all praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
