A group performed Hajj this year, and on the twelfth day, after the 'Asr prayer, they resolved to hasten, packed their belongings, and left Mina.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The honorable Shaykh says: A group performed Hajj this year, and on the twelfth day, after the 'Asr prayer, they resolved to hasten, packed their belongings, and left Mina. But they did not stone the pillars until after the Maghrib prayer, where they entered Mina after the Maghrib prayer and stoned the pillars, then bid farewell. Is there anything required of them, or is their Hajj valid?

The Shaykh : Their Hajj is valid, if Allah wills. And nothing is required of them, because these people hastened and left. But I would have preferred that they did not leave Mina until they had stoned the pillars. And if they stone the pillars, even after sunset—as long as they have prepared themselves, traveled, and resolved to hasten—then nothing is required of them, even if they stone the pillars after sunset. Yes.
