The Shaykh : This sheep that you vowed to Allah the Exalted and Majestic to slaughter, if your vow was a vow of obedience, then it became obligatory for you to fulfill it, and this specific sheep was designated for the vow. Selling it afterwards was a mistake on your part and is forbidden for you. You must now guarantee it by providing a similar one or one better than it, and you must repent to Allah the Exalted and Majestic for what you did. So, slaughter a replacement for it as an act of drawing near to Allah the Exalted and Majestic, and distribute it among the poor, since you intended it as charity for Allah the Exalted. Let what you slaughter be similar to the one you vowed or better than it. Yes.
