I ask, with gratitude and appreciation, for an explanation of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (And we were not able to yoke it) in Surat al-Zukhruf?

The questioner : I ask, with gratitude and appreciation, for an explanation of the saying of Allah the Exalted:
and we could not have [otherwise] subdued it.
[Az-Zukhruf 43:13]
in Surat al-Zukhruf. I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Shaytan:
(12) And who created the species, all of them, and has made for you of ships and animals those which you mount. (13) That you may settle yourselves upon their backs and then remember the favor of your Lord when you have settled upon them and say. "Exalted is He who has subjected this to us, and we could not have [otherwise] subdued it.
[Az-Zukhruf 43:12-13]
?

The Shaykh : The meaning of the saying of Allah the Exalted:
and we could not have [otherwise] subdued it.
[Az-Zukhruf 43:13]
is that we were not able to bear it, had not Allah made it subservient to us. These camels, had Allah not made them subservient to you, you would not have been able to ride them or drive them wherever you wished. For this reason, Allah pointed to this blessing in His saying:
(71) Do they not see that We have created for them from what Our hands have made, grazing livestock, and [then] they are their owners? (72) And We have tamed them for them, so some of them they ride, and some of them they eat. (73) And for them therein are [other] benefits and drinks, so will they not be grateful?
[Ya-Sin 36:71-73]
. The word
yoked مقرنين
is derived from qarn (yoke). From this comes the term aqrān, referring to those who are equal in a certain matter. A qirn is one who is equal to you in strength, and you are on equal footing with him in that regard. But livestock are not equal to you in strength, so you are not one who can yoke them. Yes.

The questioner : Also, the listener says.
