Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions:
He said -may Allah have mercy on him-: "Chapter on what one says when mounting a riding animal for travel:
Allah the Exalted said:[Az-Zukhruf 43:12-14].
From Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father):
وإذا رجع قالهن وزاد فيهن : آيبون تائبون عابدون ، لربنا حامدون Muslim narrated it".
The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful:
The author said -may Allah have mercy on him- in the chapter on the etiquettes of travel: "Chapter on what one says when mounting a riding animal for travel":
The author -may Allah have mercy on him- qualified the ruling with the condition of mounting for travel, and the apparent meaning of the noble verse is that the ruling is general: that when a person mounts his riding animal, or his car, or a ship, he says what Allah the Mighty and Majestic mentioned.
Then he mentioned the hadith of Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father): that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), when he mounted his riding animal going out for travel, would say such and such, and he mentioned before that the verse, which is the saying of Allah the Exalted:[Az-Zukhruf 43:12-14]: “He made for you” means He created for you, “from ships” means vessels, and vessels are of three types: sea vessels, land vessels, and air vessels:
As for sea vessels, they were known from ancient times, from the time of Noah (peace be upon him) when Allah revealed to him:[Al-Mu'minun 23:27] Then He said: in another verse [Al-Qamar 54:15].
As for land vessels, they appeared later, and they are cars.
As for air vessels, they are also after that, and they are airplanes, and all of them are included in His saying:[Az-Zukhruf 43:12], because they are vessels, as they carry whatever Allah wills of creation. And His saying the Exalted: means by that camels, mules, donkeys, horses, and others that are ridden. The scholars differed on the permissibility of a person riding what is not customary to ride, such as riding a cow. Some said: it is permissible as long as it does not burden it, and some said: it is not permissible because it was not created for this. The correct view is that it is permissible, and there is no harm in a person riding what is not customary to ride, but on the condition that it does not burden it. If it burdens it, then it is prohibited.
And His saying the Exalted:: The lam (letter) is either for the cause or for the result, meaning that He made for us what we ride so that we may settle on the backs, so He did not make it difficult and narrow such that a person cannot settle on its back or be stable, but rather one is stable on its back, and this is observed in cars, ships, airplanes, docile camels, and the like.
[Az-Zukhruf 43:13]: After settling, you remember the favor of Allah by what He has made easy for you of what He created of livestock, and of what He taught you of vessels, and you say: [Az-Zukhruf 43:13].
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions:

Allah the Exalted said:
and has made for you of ships and animals those which you mount. (13) That you may settle yourselves upon their backs and then remember the favor of your Lord when you have settled upon them and say. "Exalted is He who has subjected this to us, and we could not have [otherwise] subdued it. (14) And indeed we, to our Lord, will [surely] return."
From Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father):
That the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), when he settled on his camel going out for travel, would say the takbir three times, then say: Glory to Him who subjected this to us, and we could not have subjected it ourselves, and indeed to our Lord we will return. O Allah, we ask You in this journey of ours for righteousness and piety, and of the deeds that You are pleased with. O Allah, make this journey of ours easy for us and shorten the distance for us. O Allah, You are the Companion in the journey and the Guardian of the family. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the hardship of the journey, the ugliness of the appearance, and a bad return in wealth, family, and children. And when he returned, he would say these and add to them: Returning, repenting, worshipping, and praising our Lord
