There are three mosques in our city, praise be to Allah, and when the adhan is called, there is no adherence to a single time.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : There are three mosques in our city, praise be to Allah, and when the adhan is called, there is no adherence to a single time. So often, we pray immediately after the adhan from the mosque near us, and after a while, we hear the call from the other mosque.

The Shaykh : After it ends, or what?

The questioner : Yes, and after we finish, after a while, we hear the call from the other mosque. Do we have to repeat the prayer, and what is the ruling on praying in this situation?

The Shaykh : First, we advise our brothers, the mu'adhdhins, in any country of the Islamic lands to pay attention to regulating the time, because they are responsible before Allah (Mighty and Majestic) for this trust that Allah the Exalted has made them guardians of. So they should not call the adhan before the time, nor delay beyond the time, meaning beyond its entry. Because if they call the adhan before the time, people may follow them and pray, and their prayer would occur before the time. Prayer before the time is invalid and not accepted; it is not valid except as a voluntary prayer, and it does not absolve the soul of the obligatory duty. The one who prays it as an obligatory prayer, it is not accepted from him as an obligatory prayer because it is not in its time; rather, it becomes a voluntary prayer. And if the mu'adhdhin delays the adhan from the beginning of the time, he holds people back from praying at the beginning of the time, because many people wait for the mu'adhdhin's adhan. And perhaps this adhan is the adhan of Fajr on days of fasting, so the people remain eating, and the Fajr time has already entered.
And the important thing is that the mu'adhdhin has a great and significant responsibility. He must fear Allah the Exalted in performing his responsibility and call the adhan immediately upon the entry of the time, so that he does not mislead people if he calls before it, nor delay people if he calls after the entry of the time.
And if there are two or more mu'adhdhins in the town, and one delays while the other advances, the one to be followed is the one known for maintaining the time and strength in performing the trust. If it is not known which of them is more careful and stronger in performing the trust, then the one considered is the one who delays. This is because if two men differ on something, and one says it happened and the other says it did not happen, then the statement of the one who denies it is preferred, because the original state is that it did not happen.
The scholars have explicitly stated that if a man appoints two men to watch for the dawn for him, and one says the dawn has appeared and the other says it has not appeared, then the statement of the one who says the dawn has not appeared is preferred, because the original state is with him. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you, esteemed Shaykh. This is Falaah Hasan al-Hamdani from Nineveh, Iraq. He says: Peace be upon you and Allah's mercy and blessings. My greetings and salutations to our distinguished scholars and to the family of the program "Light on the Path." I am...
